Pack & Paddle takes the popular and intensive National Youth Leadership Training Syllabus, adds a couple of extra days, and places the experience in the environment of a wilderness Backpacking and Canoeing trek. This physically demanding course is conducted in the S bar F Scout Ranch backcountry and on Nims Lake during NYLT courses. National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a coed six-day course, staffed primarily by youth NYLT alumni. This unique experience will be offered to Venturers in a Pack and Paddle environment. The skills come alive during the week as the crew goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership. A youth should also have taken the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews or Troops.
